The greatest waterfalls around the world


waterfall is a place where fast flowing water drops from a height through a steep or cliff. It is considered one of the most beautiful natural phenomena and the following five spectacular waterfalls that you can enjoy during  vacation.


1. Huangguoshu Waterfalls

Also known as Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall, the waterfall is one of the largest waterfall in China and East Asia that lies on the River Baihe in Anshun, Guizhou Province. This waterfall has a height of 77.8 meters and a width of 101 meters with the main waterfall which has 67 meters wide and 83.3 meters high. Water curtain cave named "Shuiliandong" can also be found behind the waterfall. This allows visitors to not only see but also hear and touch the waterfall. Huangguoshu Waterfall is one of several waterfalls in the world that can be seen from the top, bottom, front, rear, left and right.


2. Angel fall or Kerepakupai Meru

Kerepakupai Meru is a waterfall in Venezuela which is the highest waterfall in the world with a height of 979 meters and the plunge of 807 feet.
Drops of water in a large-scale falling from the edge of the mountain Auyantepui in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site in the Gran Sabana region of Bolivar State, Venezuela. Before falling into Kerep River, which flows into the River Churun, son of Carro River water will evaporate or be taken away as a fine mist by the wind.



3. Bridalveil Waterfall

Bridalveil waterfall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California, USA. Ahwahneechee tribes believe that the Bridalveil waterfall is home to a vengeful spirit named Pohono guarding the entrance to the valley, and if the person who left the valley looking directly into the waterfall then they will be cursed. Being here, when the wind was blowing hard, the falls would seem to fall to the side and when the flow is small then the water will not reach the ground.





4. Waterfall Dettifoss

Waterfall Dettifoss Jokulsargljufur located in National Park, Northeast Iceland, not far from the Myvatn. It was in the river Jokulsa River that flows from a Fjollum Vatnajokull glacier and collects water from a large territory in northeastern Iceland. This waterfall has a width of 100 meters and a height of 44 meters where the water falls into gorge Jokulsargljufur. It is the largest waterfall in Europe in terms of discharge volume with an average water flow of 200 cubic meters per second. If you want to visit this waterfall, on the eastern edge there is an information panel which is managed by National Parks staff Vatnajokull to track down the best viewpoint.



5. Cascata delle Marmore

Cascata delle Marmore is man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. With a total height of 165 meters, making it one of the highest in Europe and the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. This waterfall has three parts. Located about 7.7 kilometers from Terni, a provincial capital of Umbria region, Italy, this waterfall is part of the Velino river, after flowing through the lake Piediluco. Alran water here flows into the valley formed by the river Nera. The flow of water set according to the published schedule. This is to meet the needs of tourists and electricity companies.
